Identity includes multiple dimensions such as culture, society, region, psychology, politics, and belief. Identity is the definition of a person by the country or society. This definition will accompany people from birth to death. Everyone has an identity after birth. The concept given by this identity has two meanings, one is the identity given to citizens by the state; the other is the identity of the social class that people discuss.

After the popularization of the Internet, digital identities, user-centric identities and autonomous sovereign identities followed. The most identifying identities, such as mailboxes, represent a person behind the email address, which can help determine a person’s identity. Or today’s Weibo, WeChat, and QQ are all user-centric identities and can be linked to each other. I personally feel that they cannot be separated.

With the development of the Internet nowadays, the usernames and passwords of all online accounts, your search history, social media posts, digital photos, scanned passport pictures, etc. They are all tied to your digital identity and linked to you. Only an email address is required to store your digital identity. Signing in will associate your IP address with the email, so you can pinpoint your location. Digital identities can contain a lot of terrible information. On one level, it includes every photo you have taken, social media posts, and blog comments. So it is difficult for people to control their digital identities to be fully protected while on social media.

Digital identity implements customized services for service providers in public networks. The existence of a digital identity system can effectively replace the complicated paper certificates in the past, reduce the cost of repeated communication between service providers and users, and greatly improve work efficiency. And the government communicates with citizens more efficiently. The digital identity records all citizens’ key identity data and behavioral information. In the face of citizens with different attributes and their needs, the government can provide corresponding assistance to them.

The development of the Internet and the emergence of digital identities are changing the driving force and development methods of economic and social development. Compared with traditional identity systems, they will greatly improve overall social efficiency.

Social network means network + social. Connect people through the network as a carrier to form groups with certain characteristics. Using social media to build a network means creating an interactive platform where people can communicate with each other and participate in each other. It can replace traditional social interaction to meet the communication needs of humans, such as social animals, and is a key force that promotes the infinite proximity of the Internet to the real world.

The efficiency of social networks in the dissemination of knowledge is much higher than that of traditional education models. For many questions that have not been asked, social networks are also a good starting point for research, because everyone has the same opportunity to ask questions and answer questions, without worrying about being overwhelmed due to status factors. And the diversification of answers is obvious. An answer can be updated and revised in time after communication. This is the limitation of books and papers. On the platform, to choose accurate information, people have to learn to judge the gold content of the information, because the amount of information inside is very large and very complicated.

In the public network, people must abide by laws and regulations and improve their network quality. Some irrational remarks and information that people express because of the loss of moral standards during the process of online participation may cause subjective deviations to decision-makers, and even cause them to make wrong decisions, so that normal public opinion cannot be answered. Some attention and adoption seriously affect the effectiveness of online participation.

In public communication, I think the rewards that can be obtained are 1. Global connection, 2. Common rights and interests, 3. Real-time information sharing, 4. Free advertising, and reduce publicity costs. However, in public communication, users of social networking sites are more likely to encounter security threats such as loss of financial information, theft of identity information, and malware infection, and their severity may exceed users’ imagination.
